We recognize that nobody is in this alone. We need each other — board, staff, volunteers, and donors—our community—to thrive.

Are you interested in volunteering with Metropolitan Counseling Services? We are always looking for volunteers over the age of 18 to help us with the day-to-day operations of Metropolitan Counseling Services, including:

  •  Office tasks like answering the phones and other administrative tasks
  • Sending out thank you letters to donors
  • Data entry into Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
  • Setting up, tearing down, and staffing fundraising events
  • Serving on the fundraising committee
  • Assisting on the marketing committee

Familiarity with basic computer software is needed, but training is provided.  Volunteers will have the opportunity to work in a warm, collegial environment and learn the day-to-day operations of a small, private, not-for-profit mental health counseling center.  The opportunity to attend monthly clinical in-service trainings on topics related to psychotherapy is also available.

Please fill out the form below if you are interested in volunteering with MCS. Please note, we do not accept students seeking practicum credit at this time.
