MCS hosts several events and fundraisers throughout the year. Attend our annual Night On The Town or a workshop, and your ticket fee goes toward helping MCS. Check out our upcoming events here.

Pick Metropolitan Counseling Services from the list, and make your usual amazon purchases through smile.amazon.com.
Volunteers are needed two days per week, 4 hours per day (days and times flexible during business hours) to help with day-to-day operations of Metropolitan Counseling Services.
Familiarity with basic computer software is needed, but training is provided. Volunteer will have the opportunity to work in a warm, collegial environment and learn the day-to-day operations of a small, private, not-for-profit mental health counseling center. Th opportunity to attend monthly clinical in-service trainings on topics related to psychotherapy is also available.

MCS’ main annual fundraising event is our Night On The Town. We collect auction items throughout the year to package for our silent auction at the event. If you have an item or service you’d like to donate, reach out to Shannon Georgecink.

Do you have a passion for mental health and want to leverage your skills, contacts and expertise on our Board of Directors? We accept applications for our Board of Directors annually, and applicants are interviewed by our Board Engagement Committee, which is comprised of several board members. Your gift helps bridge the gap between our low client fees and the actual cost of providing our services to clients in need. All gifts are tax-deductible according to IRS guidelines.
Your gift to MCS can provide clients a lifeline. MCS fees start at $30 per session, with the average fee being $35. It costs MCS approximately $100 to provide one session. Imagine the difference even a small donation can make!
-$50 helps cover the costs of supervision in our training program, which helps support the mental health workforce pipeline
– $65 bridges the gap between the average fee a client pays and our operating expenses of $100 per session
– $100 covers the true cost of a therapy session for a client at MCS
– $250 assists with ongoing professional development efforts for clinicians
– $1000 covers our expenses for one client to receive 10 sessions
