Kim Rockwood is an estates and small business attorney with 20 years of experience, all in the Atlanta area. She is the founder and lead attorney at Kim Rockwood Law, which is a boutique firm in Sandy Springs that serves Georgia families and small business owners in the real estate industry.
Kim earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia in 1996. In 2001, she earned a law degree and a masters degree in public administration from Georgia State University. Throughout her career, Kim has worked for small firms, a start-up tech company, and ultimately, her own law firm. Kim currently writes and teaches classes on estate planning, business, and probate issues.
With a heart of service to her community, Kim has been involved in local children’s educational organizations. She served as the board chairperson at her children’s private preschool, as well as treasurer, vice president, and president of the parent-teacher organization at her children’s elementary school. Kim also has a passion for mental health advocacy, having experienced the benefits of therapy firsthand throughout her life. She even created an online class, where she interviewed a mental health expert in service to people experiencing stress and anxiety during the pandemic.
On a personal note, Kim is the proud mom of two teenagers, Isabella and Jack. And she’s happily married to a Canadian, who oddly, believes that Georgia gets “too cold” in the winter. During the free time she has, Kim enjoys singing in two community singing groups, reading, and watching college football.
