Anna Hutchins is the the Director of Collaborative Initiatives for the American College of Rheumatology. She has worked in the area of health and social services disparities for six years, with a total of nine years of nonprofit experience in the areas of management, strategy, and program and project development and execution. Her work has primarily focused on defining, exploring, and closing healthcare and social services gaps for the uninsured and underinsured, with particular emphasis on access for minority groups, and developing state-wide programs to close such gaps. Her work has also led her overseas, where she partnered with local organizations and community leaders to study and alleviate specific socioeconomic issues, focusing on the impact of poverty and geographic location on access to healthcare (Uganda) and disparities in immigrant vs. native healthcare and access to human services (Spain). Anna graduated from Florida State University with a B.S. in Business Management and from Mercer University, Atlanta, with a Master’s in Theology, focusing on praxis in the nonprofit sector.
