Alisha Uppal, NCC

Alisha views therapy as a journey of ongoing self-awareness and development. As we go through life, circumstances arise in which we may require new insight and coping mechanisms. Therapy is a pathway to discovering new ways of managing stressors from interpersonal relationships, loss, and adjusting to changes in life. Incorporating existential and integrative therapy models during sessions, Alisha tailors counseling to fit the needs of each individual. She strives to maintain an environment of trust, empathy, and cultural sensitivity.

She received her M.S. in Counseling from Johns Hopkins University and her B.A. in Psychology from Emory University.  Alisha works with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, and stress from relationship issues or life transitions. She has an interest in working with college students, young adults, and diverse populations, and can speak both English and Hindi. Outside of the counseling environment, Alisha enjoys reading and spending time with her husband and their dog.
