Dear Friends and Supporters of Metropolitan Counseling Services,

November 1, 2021

For 26 years, MCS has provided quality, affordable mental healthcare while training the next generation of licensed therapists. Your generosity to our resident therapists and their clients has made a tremendous impact in the health of our community for more than two decades.

The COVID-19 pandemic presented an extraordinary change in the way mental health services were offered and obtained, as well as a need for mental health services unlike anything seen before. One of the results of this new environment has been an unparalleled competition for funding sources. And, therefore, it has become necessary for MCS to cease our own operations effective November 1, 2021 and instead, refer our clients to The Link Counseling Center. The Link is a stellar organization with 50 years of service to the community, and MCS is grateful that The Link will continue to carry out our mission. You can learn more about The Link Counseling Center, their services, and supporting affordable mental health services in our community by contacting their Executive Director, Janet Mainor, at

Thank you for your time, financial support, passion, and dedication to creating a healthier Atlanta through your support of MCS. We encourage you to continue supporting vital access to healthcare for under-resourced members of our community.
